Micah exposes the evil deeds not only of common people, but even those in the service of Hashem.

Idol worship (the worship of other gods) is just one repeated case all over the Hebrew Bible, and yet again repeated in this book. Idolatry is a clear picture of one’s rejection and neglect in worshiping One G-d alone. Evil deeds come along with it.

“For all the peoples will go forth, each man in the name of his god, but we go forth with the Name of Hashem, Our God, forever and ever.”

“He has told you, O man, what is good. What does Hashem require of you but to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?”
