Nehemiah Read The Torah To The People

Clearly the Torah (Law) is to be performed with joy.

Paul and the Greek book – New Testament teachings/doctrines teach to abhor the Torah. Without knowing Who gave it? Or where did it come from?

So sad that Christians blindly believe such false teaching.

Read. Study. Learn. Obey.

Do not just follow blindly what you are told to do or not to do.

“The Torah Is Read And The People Obeyed With Joy”

“Judah And Its People”
“The Leaders’ Contribution”
I then appointed Hanani my brother and Hananiah, officer of the palace, over Jerusalem, for [Hananiah] was a man of truth, and had long been God-fearing.
7:2
Then my God inspired me and I assembled the aristocrats and the nobles, and the people to trace their lineage. I found the Book of Lineage of those who had ascended at first and found written in it:
:5
… and could not declare their fathers’ families and their descent, whether they were from Israel;
:61
These sought their genealogical record but it could not be found, so they were disqualified from the priesthood.
:64
Hattirshatha told them that they should not eat of the most holy offerings until there would arise a Kohen to [inquire of] the Urim and Tumim.
:65

… they asked Ezra the scholar to bring the scroll of the Torah of Moses, which Hashem had commanded to Israel.
8:1

… and the ears of all the people were attentive to the Torah scroll.
:8:3

Ezra blessed Hashem, the great God, and all the people answered, “Amen! Amen!” with their hands upraised; then they bowed and prostrated themselves before Hashem, faces to the ground.
:6

They read in the scroll, in God’s Torah, clearly, with the application of wisdom, and they helped [the people] understand the reading.
:8

… “Today is sacred to Hashem your God; do not mourn and do not weep.”…
:9

… for today is sacred to our Lord. Do not be sad; the enjoyment of Hashem is your strength!”
:10

… do not be sad.”
:11

They found written in the Torah that Hashem had commanded through the hand of Moses that the Children of Israel should dwell in succos during the festival [that is] in the seventh month.
:14

[They commanded] that they should announce it and make a proclamation in all their cities and in Jerusalem, saying, “Go out to the mountain and get [branches with] olive leaves, pine needles, myrtle leaves, palm leaves and leaves of braided tree, to make succos, as written [in the Torah].”
:15

… The Children of Israel had not done so from the days of Joshua son of Nun until that day, and there was very great joy.
:17

[Ezra] read in the scroll of God’s Torah day by day, from the first day until the last day. They observed the festival for seven days, and the assembly on the eigth day, according to the law.

Nehemiah, a cupbearer to the Persian king Artaxerxes. Nehemiah made a request to the king to return to his ancestral land and perform his duties as a leader by rebuilding the city walls which was reportedly damaged.

Despite opposition from the enemies, Nehemiah successfully completes the project with the help of the Jewish community.

Reading of the Torah, rebuilding of the Temple, and reestablishment of the Jewish people’s covenant with G-d are Nehemiah’s notable contributions.
