Chronicles On King Solomon

G-d is with Solomon.

Who said wisdom and knowledge are against G-d? As Paul the so-called “Apostle.”

Find out what favors G-d in this chapter. You decide whom to believe and follow. G-d’s truth? Or Paul’s falsehood?

“King Solomon”

Solomon son of David strengthened himself over his kingdom; Hashem his God was with him, and He made him very great.
1:1
But the Copper Altar that Bezalel son of Uri had made was placed before the Tabernacle of Hashem, so Solomon and he congregation sought it out.
:5
… God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Request what I should give to you.”
:7
Solomon said to God, “You have done a great kindness with David my father, and you have made me king in his place.
:8
Now, grant me wisdom and knowledge, so that I may go out and come in before this people, for who can judge this great people of Yours?”
:10
God said to Solomon, “Because this is what you had in your heart, and you did not request riches, property, honor or the life of your enemies, nor did you request a long life, but you requested wisdom and knowledge so that you can judge My people over whom I have made you king —
:11
the wisdom and knowledge are granted to you, and I will [even] grant you riches and property and honor, such as kings before you have never had, nor will there be such a thing after you.”
:12
And the king made silver and gold [as common] as stones in Jerusalem, and he made cedars as abundant as sycamores in the lowland.
:15
Solomon then proposed to build a Temple for the Name of Hashem, and a royal palace for himself.
:18

1 And Solomon the son of David strengthened himself upon his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and He made him exceedingly great.
2 And Solomon said to all Israel, to the leaders of the thousands and the hundreds and to the judges and to every prince of all Israel, the chiefs of the fathers’ [houses].
3 And Solomon and the entire assembly with him went to the high place that was in Gibeon, for there was God’s Tent of Meeting, which Moses, the servant of the Lord, had made in the desert.
4 But David had brought up the Ark of God from Kiriath-Jearim in [the place that] David had prepared for it, for he had pitched a tent for it in Jerusalem.
5 And the copper altar that Bezalel the son of Uri the son of Hur had made he placed before the Tabernacle of the Lord, and Solomon and the assembly sought it.
6 And Solomon offered up there on the copper altar before the Lord, which belonged to the Tent of Meeting, and he offered up on it a thousand burnt offerings.
7 On that night, God appeared to Solomon, and He said to him, “Request, what shall I give you?”
8 And Solomon said to God, “You performed great loving-kindness with my father David, and You enthroned me in his stead.
9 Now, O Lord God, may Your word with my father David come true, for You have enthroned me over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.
10 Now, give me wisdom and knowledge, and I shall go forth before this people and come in, for who will be able to judge this great people of Yours?”
11 And God said to Solomon, “Since this was in your heart, and you did not request riches, possessions, and honor, neither have you requested the life of your enemies, nor have you requested many days, but you have requested for yourself wisdom and knowledge, that you should judge My people, over whom I have enthroned you.
12 Wisdom and knowledge are granted you, and riches, possessions, and honor I shall grant you, such as that the kings before you did not possess, and which will not be so after you.”
13 And Solomon, [who] had come to the high place, which was in Gibeon, [came] to Jerusalem, from before the Tent of Meeting, and he reigned over Israel.
14 And Solomon amassed chariots and horsemen, and he had a thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen, and he left them in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem.
15 And the king made the silver and the gold in Jerusalem like stones, and the cedars he made as numerous as the sycamores that are in the lowland.
16 And Solomon’s source of horses was from Egypt, and [there was] an assemblage, from which the king’s agents would buy the assemblage privileges for a price.
17 And they brought up and took out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred pieces of silver and a horse for a hundred and fifty, and so to all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Aram they would export through them.
18 And Solomon ordered to build a House in the name of the Lord and a house for his kingdom.

Though not a lengthy book, Ruth is filled with significant story in the Hebrew Bible that tell the tale of a foreign woman, who later becomes an ancestor of King David.
Lamentations is a collection of five powerful reflections mourning the destruction of the first Temple and the exile of the Jewish people from Jerusalem.

The book is attributed to the prophet Jeremiah, who have written it in vivid, anguished language to express his own grief as well as that of the Jewish community as a whole.

The Book of Chronicles was composed by Ezra, and the Sages of the Talmud (Oral law) canonized it as part of Scripture. By definition, therefore, it was composed under the guidance of the Divine Spirit.

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
