These are the creatures that you may eat from among all the animals that are upon the earth.
11:2

Everything among the animals that has a split hoof, which is completely separated into double hooves, and that brings up its cud – that one you may eat.
11:3

But this is what you shall not eat from among those that bring up their cud or that have split hooves: the camel, for it brings up its cud, but its hoof is not split – it is unclean to you.
:4

and the hyrax, … and the hare, … and the pig, for its hoof is split and its hoof is completely separated, but it does not chew its cud – it is unclean to you.
:5-7

You shall not eat of their flesh nor shall you touch their carcass – they are unclean to you.
:8

This may you eat from everything that is in the water: everything that has fins and scales in the water, in the seas, and in the streams, those you may eat.
:9

And everything that does not have fins and scales in the seas and in the streams – all that teems in the water, and from all living creatures in the water – they are an abomination to you.
:10

And they shall remain an abomination to you: you shall not eat of their flesh and you shall abominate their carcass.
:11

Everything that does not have fins and scales in the water – it is an abomination to you.
:12

These shall you abominate from among the birds, they may not be eaten – they are an abomination: the eagle, the bearded vulture, the ospreys;
:13-19

every animal that has split hooves that are not completely split, or does not chew its cud, they are contaminated to you; whoever touches them becomes contaminated.
:26

And every one that walks on its paws, among all the animals that walk on four legs, they are contaminated to you; whoever touches their carcass shall be contaminated until the evening.
:28

Any earthenware utensil into whose interior one of them will fall, everything in it shall become contaminated – and you shall break it –
:33

Anything upon which part of their carcass may fall shall be contaminated – an oven or stove shall be smashed – they are contaminated and they shall remain contaminated to you –
:35

Everything that creeps on its belly, and everything that walks on four legs, up to those with numerous legs, among all the teeming things that teem upon the earth, you may not eat them, for they are an abomination.
:42

Do not make yourselves abominable by means of any teeming thing; …
:43

For I am Hashem your God – you are to sanctify yourselves and you shall be holy, for I am holy; …
:44

For I am Hashem Who elevates you from the land of Egypt to be a God unto you; you shall be holy, for I am holy.
:45

This is the law of the animal, the bird, every living creature that swarms in the water, and for every creature that teems on the ground;
:46

to distinguish between the contaminated and the pure, and between the creature that may be eaten and the creature that may not be eaten.
:47

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron, to say to them:
2 Speak to the children of Israel, saying: These are the creatures that you may eat among all the animals on earth:
3 Any animal that has a cloven hoof that is completely split into double hooves, and which brings up its cud that one you may eat.
4 But these you shall not eat among those that bring up the cud and those that have a cloven hoof: the camel, because it brings up its cud, but does not have a [completely] cloven hoof; it is unclean for you.
5 And the hyrax, because it brings up its cud, but will not have a [completely] cloven hoof; it is unclean for you;
6 And the hare, because it brings up its cud, but does not have a [completely] cloven hoof; it is unclean for you;
7 And the pig, because it has a cloven hoof that is completely split, but will not regurgitate its cud; it is unclean for you.
8 You shall not eat of their flesh, and you shall not touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you.
9 Among all [creatures] that are in the water, you may eat these: Any [of the creatures] in the water that has fins and scales, those you may eat, whether [it lives] in the waters, in the seas or in the rivers.
10 But any [creatures]that do not have fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers, among all the creeping creatures in the water and among all living creatures that [live] in the water, are an abomination for you.
11 And they shall be an abomination for you. You shall not eat of their flesh, and their dead bodies you shall hold in abomination.
12 Any [creature] that does not have fins and scales in the water is an abomination for you.
13 And among birds, you shall hold these in abomination; they shall not be eaten; they are an abomination: The eagle [or the griffin vulture], the kite, the osprey,
14 the kestrel, and the vulture after its species,
15 and the raven after its species,
16 the ostrich, the jay, and the sparrow hawk, and the goshawk after its species;
17 The owl, the gull, the little owl;
18 The bat, the starling, the magpie;
19 the stork, the heron after its species; the hoopoe and the atalef [bat?];
20 Any flying insect that walks on four, is an abomination for you.
21 However, among all the flying insects that walk on four [legs], you may eat [from] those that have jointed [leg like] extensions above its [regular] legs, with which they hop on the ground.
22 From this [locust] category, you may eat the following: The red locust after its species, the yellow locust after its species, the spotted gray locust after its species and the white locust after its species.
23 But any [other] flying insect that has four legs, is an abomination for you.
24 And through these you will become unclean; anyone who touches their dead bodies will be unclean until evening;
25 And anyone who carries their carcass shall immerse his garments, and he shall be unclean until evening:
26 Any animal that has a cloven hoof that is not completely split, and which does not bring up its cud, is unclean for you. Anyone who touches them shall become unclean.
27 And among all the animals that walk on four legs, any [animal] that walks on its paws is unclean for you. Anyone who touches their carcass will be unclean until evening.
28 And one who carries their carcass shall immerse his garments, and he will be unclean until evening. They are unclean for you.
29 And this is unclean for you among creeping creatures that creep on the ground: The weasel, the mouse, and the toad after its species;
30 The hedgehog, the chameleon, the lizard, the snail, and the mole.
31 These are the ones that are unclean for you, among all creeping creatures; anyone who touches them when they are dead will be unclean until evening.
32 And if any of these dead [creatures] falls upon anything, it will become unclean, whether it is any wooden vessel, garment, hide or sack, any vessel with which work is done; it shall be immersed in water, but will remain unclean until evening, and it will become clean.
33 But any earthenware vessel, into whose interior any of them falls, whatever is inside it shall become unclean, and you shall break [the vessel] itself.
34 Of any food that is [usually] eaten, upon which water comes will become unclean, and any beverage that is [usually] drunk, which is in any vessel, shall become unclean.
35 And anything upon which any of their carcasses of these [animals] fall, will become unclean. [Thus,] an oven or stove shall be demolished; they are unclean, and, they shall be unclean for you.
36 But a spring or a cistern, a gathering of water remains clean. However, one who touches their carcass shall become unclean.
37 And if of their carcass falls upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it remains clean.
38 But if water is put upon seeds, and any of their carcass falls on them, they are unclean for you.
39 If an animal that you [normally] eat, dies, one who touches its carcass shall be unclean until evening.
40 And one who eats of its carcass shall immerse his garments, and he shall be unclean until evening. And one who carries its carcass shall immerse his garments, and he shall be unclean until evening.
41 And any creeping creature that creeps on the ground is an abomination; it shall not be eaten.
42 Any [creature] that goes on its belly, and any [creature] that walks on four [legs] to any [creature] that has many legs, among all creeping creatures that creep on the ground, you shall not eat, for they are an abomination.
43 You shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping creature that creeps, and you shall not defile yourselves with them, that you should become unclean through them.
44 For I am the Lord your God, and you shall sanctify yourselves and be holy, because I am holy, and you shall not defile yourselves through any creeping creature that crawls on the ground.
45 For I am the Lord Who has brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your God. Thus, you shall be holy, because I am holy.
46 This is the law regarding animals, birds, all living creatures that move in water and all creatures that creep on the ground,
47 to distinguish between the unclean and the clean, and between the animal that may be eaten and the animal that may not be eaten.

For you are a holy people to Hashem, your God, and Hashem has chosen you for Himself to be a treasured people, from all the peoples on the face of the earth.
14:2

You shall not eat any abomination.
14:3

These are the animals that you may eat: … And every animal that has a split hoof, which is completely separated in two hooves, that brings up its cud among animals – it may you eat.
:4-6

But this shall you not eat from among those that bring up their cud or have a completely separated split hoof: the camel, the hare, and the hyrax, for they bring up their cud, but their hoof is not split – they are unclean to you;
:7

and the pig, for it has a split hoof, but not the cud – it is unclean to you; from their flesh you shall not eat and you shall not touch their carcasses.
:8

This you may eat of everything that is in the water: anything that has fins and scales you may eat.
:9

And anything that does not have fins or scales you shall not eat; it is unclean to you.
:10

Every clean bird, you may eat.
:11 & 20

And every flying swarming creature is unclean to you; they shall not be eaten.
:19

You shall not eat any carcass; to the stranger who is in your cities shall you give it that he may eat it, or sell it to a gentile, for you are a holy people to Hashem, your God; you shall not cook a kid in its mother’s milk.
:21

You shall tithe the entire crop of your planting, the produce of the field, year by year.
:22

You shall not forsake the Levite who is in your cities, for he has no portion or inheritance with you.
:27

1 You are children of the Lord, your God. You shall neither cut yourselves nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
2 For you are a holy people to the Lord, your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a treasured people for Him, out of all the nations that are upon the earth.
3 You shall not eat any abomination.
4 These are the animals that you may eat: ox, lamb, and kid,
5 gazelle, deer, and antelope, ibex, chamois, bison, and giraffe.
6 And every animal that has a split hoof and has a hoof cloven into two hoof sections, [and] chews the cud among the animals that you may eat.
7 But you shall not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those that have the split hooves: the cloven one, the camel, the hyrax, and the hare, for they chew the cud, but do not have split hooves; they are unclean for you.
8 And the pig, because it has a split hoof, but does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. You shall neither eat of their flesh nor touch their carcass.
9 These you may eat of all that are in the waters; all that have fins and scales, you may eat.
10 But whatever does not have fins and scales, you shall not eat; it is unclean for you.
11 You may eat every clean bird.
12 But these are those from which you shall not eat: The eagle [or the griffin vulture], the ossifrage, the osprey;
13 and the white vulture, and the black vulture, and the kite after its species;
14 And every raven after its species;
15 And the ostrich, and the owl, and the gull, and the hawk after its species;
16 The falcon, and the ibis, and the bat;
17 And the pelican, and the magpie, and the cormorant;
18 And the stork, and the heron and its species, and the hoopoe, and the atalef.
19 And every flying insect is unclean for you; they may not be eaten.
20 You may eat any clean fowl.
21 You shall not eat any carcass. You may give it to the stranger who is in your cities, that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner; for you are a holy people to the Lord, your God. You shall not cook a kid in its mother’s milk.
22 You shall tithe all the seed crop that the field gives forth, year by year.
23 And you shall eat before the Lord, your God, in the place He chooses to establish His Name therein, the tithes of your grain, your wine, and your oil, and the firstborn of your cattle and of your sheep, so that you may learn to fear the Lord, your God, all the days.
24 And if the way be too long for you, that you are unable to carry it, for the place which the Lord, your God, will choose to establish His Name therein, is too far from you, for the Lord, your God, will bless you
25 Then you shall turn it into money, and bind up the money in your hand, and you shall go to the place the Lord, your God, will choose.
26 And you shall turn that money into whatever your soul desires; cattle, sheep, new wine or old wine, or whatever your soul desires, and you shall eat there before the Lord, your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.
27 And [as for] the Levite who is in your cities you shall not forsake him, for he has neither portion nor inheritance with you.
28 At the end of three years, you shall take out all the tithe of your crop in that year and place it in your cities.
29 And the Levite because he has no portion or inheritance with you and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are in your cities, will come and eat and be satisfied; so that the Lord, your God, will bless you in all the work of your hand that you will do.
