Chapter 23

Job On Faithfulness To G-d

Situation can be the worst of the worst with Job. But, not in any bit he acted against G-d or rebel against G-d. Yes, he complained to certain extent. Only by way of questioning begging for answers.

This is a typical example of what makes one an atheist.

His frustration and disappointment; in conclusion that G-d did not answer his prayer to his favor. Thus, “G-d does not exist.”

When things are bad or even worst, that definitely does not mean, G-d is against you or He does not exist.

“Job Responds Eliphaz”

Would He contend with me through superior power? No! He would only direct Himself to me.
23:7
There [my] uprightness would be proven before Him, and I would be forever released from my Judge!
:7
My feet have held fast in His footsteps; I have kept His way and have not strayed.
:11
I do not move away from the commandments of His lips; I have cherished the words of His mouth more than my sustenance.
:12
He is unique, and who can contradict Him? His soul desires and He does!
:13
God has made my heart faint; the Almighty confounded me,
:16

1 Now Job replied and said,
2 “Even today my speech is bitter; my wound is heavier than my sigh.
3 Would that I knew and I would find Him; I would come to the place prepared for Him.
4 I would set out [my] case before Him, and I would fill my mouth with arguments.
5 I would know the words that He would answer me, and I would understand what He would say to me.
6 Will He contend with me with much power? He will not place coercion upon me.
7 There [my] integrity will be proven with Him, and I will extricate [myself] forever from my Judge.
8 Behold, I go to the east and He is not here, and to the west and I perceive Him not.
9 In the north, when He made it I do not see; He wraps up the south and I cannot see.
10 Because He knows the way that is with me; He has tested me that I will emerge like gold.
11 My foot has held to His path; I have kept His way and do not turn away.
12 [I kept] the commandment of His lips and I do not remove [it]; more than my daily bread I kept the words of His mouth.
13 But He is One, and who will answer Him? [Therefore,] whatever His soul desires He does.
14 For He will complete my sentence, and there are many such things with Him.
15 Therefore, I am startled by Him; I ponder and am frightened of Him.
16 Yea, God has made my heart faint, and the Almighty has startled me.
17 Because I was not cut off from before the darkness, and [because He did not] cover the thick darkness from before me.

Blessed be the Name of Hashem

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
