Chapter 6

Nehemiah Is Tricked Several Times

It pays to be knowledgeable; rather than to be ignorant.

Knowing G-d’s foundation in His Laws/Commandments, you cannot be easily fooled; especially with teachings or doctrines that are never taught by G-d through His servants the prophets.

Just another proof that Paul and the Greek book – New Testament is not of G-d.

“False Prophet”

“Completion Of The Wall”

Sanballat and Geshem sent [word] to me, saying, “Come, let us meet at Chephirim in the valley of One.” But [I understood that] they were planning to harm me.
6:2
They sent me this message four times, and I replied to them the same way.
:4
Then Sanballat sent me the same message a fifth time with his servant, with an open letter in his hand.
:5
… [that] you and the Jews plan to rebel, and that is why you are building the wall; and [that] you are becoming their king, and similar things;
:6
I sent [word] to him, saying, “These things that you say have never happened; you have fabricated them from your heart!
:8
But I said, “Can a man like me run away? And who, being like me, may enter the Sanctuary and live? I will not come!”
:11
Then I realized that, behold! God had not sent him, for he had spoken as if it was prophecy for me! Rather, Tobiah or Sanballat had hired him!
:12
“My God, recall for Tobiah or Sanballat these deeds of his; and also for Noadiah the prophetess and the rest of the [false] prophets who [tried to] intimidate me!”
:14
The wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, after fifty-two days.
:15
It happened when all our enemies heard [this], and all the nations around us saw, they fell greatly in their own eyes, for they realized that this work was accomplished by our God.
:16
… and Tobiah sent letters to intimidate me.
:19

1 Now it came to pass, when it was heard by Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab, and the rest of our enemies that I had built the wall, and that no breach was left therein; also that until that time I had not erected doors in the gates.
2 Then Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, “Come and let us meet together in Kefirim in the Valley of Ono”; and they were plotting to do me harm.
3 And I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing great work, and I cannot go down. Why should the work stop when I leave it and come down to you?”
4 And they sent to me four times according to this wording, and I answered them according to this wording.
5 Then Sanballat sent to me according to this wording a fifth time with his servant, and an open letter was in his hand.
6 It was written in it, “It is heard among the nations, and Gashmu says that you and the Jews are plotting to rebel; therefore, you are building the wall, and you are their king.” According to these words,
7 “You have also set up speakers to call upon you in Jerusalem, saying, ‘There is a king in Judea,’ and now it will be reported to the king according to these words; so let us come and take counsel together.”
8 So I sent to him, saying, “Such as these words that you say never happened; you are inventing them from your heart.
9 For they all fear us, saying, ‘Let their hands be slackened from the work, and let it not be done,’ and now, strengthen my hands.”
10 And I came to the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah, the son of Mehetabel, and he was confined, and he said, “Let us meet in the House of God, in the midst of the Temple, and let us close the doors of the Temple, for they are coming to assassinate you; tonight they are coming to assassinate you.”
11 So I said to him, “Will a man like me flee? And who is like me who will enter the Temple and live? I will not enter. “
12 And I discerned, and behold, God had not sent him, for he spoke prophecy concerning me, and Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.
13 For this he was hired, in order that I fear and do so and sin, so that they should have this for a scandal in order to reproach me.
14 Remember, my God, Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their deeds, and also Noadiah the prophetess and the rest of the prophets who were frightening me.
15 The wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Ellul, after fifty-two days.
16 Now it came to pass when all our enemies heard that, all the nations around us became frightened, and they fell very low in their own eyes, and they knew that this work had been performed by our God.
17 Even in those days, the rulers of Judea increasingly sent their letters to Tobiah, and Tobiah’s were coming to them.
18 For many in Judea were his confederates, for he was the son-in-law of Shechaniah the son of Arah, and Jehohanan his son had married the daughter of Meshullam the son of Berechiah.
19 They also spoke of his good qualities before me, and they divulged my words to him; Tobiah sent letters to frighten me.

Ruth is one of the greatest converts who ever lived.
Though not a lengthy book, Ruth is filled with significant story in the Hebrew Bible that tell the tale of a foreign woman, who later becomes an ancestor of King David.
Lamentations is a collection of five powerful reflections mourning the destruction of the first Temple and the exile of the Jewish people from Jerusalem.

The book is attributed to the prophet Jeremiah, who have written it in vivid, anguished language to express his own grief as well as that of the Jewish community as a whole.

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
