“Your Deeds And Persistence”

Do not envy men of evil, and do not desire to be with them,
24:1
Through wisdom a house is built, and it is established through understanding;
24:3
and through knowledge, its chambers become filled with all dear and pleasant treasures.
:4
One who thinks of doing evil will be called a master of wicked designs.
:8
Foolish designs are a sin, and scoffing makes a man abominable.
:9
But the One Who resides in hearts, He understands; and the Protector of your soul, He knows; and He recompenses a man according to his deeds.
:12
Eat honey, my child, for it is good, …
:13
so is knowledge of wisdom to your soul, if you have found it, for it has a lasting outcome, and your hope will not be cut off.
:14
For though the righteous may fall seven times, he will arise, …
:16
When your foe falls, be not glad, and when he stumbles, let your heart not be joyous, lest Hashem see and it be displeasing in His eyes, and He turn His anger from him [to you].
:17-18
Do not assimilate among evildoers; do not envy the wicked.
:19
For there will be no lasting outcome to evil; but the lamp of the wicked shall die out.
:20
Fear Hashem, my child, and the king. Do not mix with inconsistent people,
:21
Showing favoritism in judgment is not good;
:23
The reprovers should be pleasant, and a good blessing will come upon them.
:25
Do not offer vain testimony against your fellow, to endear yourself with your lips.
:28
Do not say, “As he has done for me, so will I do for him; I will reward the man according to his acts.”
:29
A little sleep; a little slumber; a little folding of the hands to recline,
:33
then, your poverty will come like a traveler, and your lacking like an armed man.
:34

1 Do not envy men of evil; do not desire to be with them;
2 for their heart thinks of plunder, and their lips speak of wrongdoing.
3 A house is built with wisdom, and it is established with understanding.
4 With knowledge, the rooms are filled with all riches, precious and pleasant.
5 A wise man is with strength, and a man of knowledge maintains strength.
6 For you shall wage war for yourself with strategies, and the victory results from the superiority of the counselor.
7 Wisdom is as pearls to the fool; in the gate he will not open his mouth.
8 He who plots to do evil is called a man of wicked designs.
9 The counsel of folly is sin, and what makes man an abomination is scorn.
10 If you have become lax, on a day of trouble your strength will be weak indeed.
11 If you refrain from rescuing those taken to death and those on the verge of being slain
12 will you say, “Behold, we did not know this”? Is it not so that He Who counts hearts understands, and He Who guards your soul knows, and He will requite a man according to his deed?
13 Eat honey, my son, for it is good, and the honeycomb is sweet to your palate.
14 So too, know wisdom for your soul; if you have found it, you will have a future and your hope will not be cut off.
15 Wicked man, do not lurk by the dwelling of a righteous man; do not plunder his resting place.
16 For a righteous man can fall seven times and rise, but the wicked shall stumble upon evil.
17 When your enemy falls, do not rejoice, and when he stumbles, let your heart not exult,
18 lest the Lord see and be displeased, and turn His wrath away from him.
19 Do not compete with evildoers; do not envy the wicked
20 for there will be no future for an evil one; the lamp of the wicked will flicker.
21 My son, fear the Lord and the king; do not mingle with dualists.
22 For suddenly their misfortune will rise, and the ruin of both of them who knows?
23 These too are for the wise; To have respect [for persons] in judgment is not good.
24 He who says to a wicked man, “You are righteous”-peoples will curse him; nations will be wroth with him.
25 But for those who reprove it will be pleasant, and a good blessing shall come upon them.
26 Lips should kiss him who gives a right answer.
27 Prepare your work outside and make it fit in the field for yourself; afterwards you shall build your house.
28 Do not be a witness without cause for your friend, that you should be enticed with your lips.
29 Do not say, “As he did to me, so will I do to him; I will repay the man according to his deed.”
30 By the fields of a lazy man, I passed and by the vineyard of a man without sense.
31 And behold, thistles had grown all over it; nettles had covered its surface, and its stone fence had been torn down.
32 And I, myself, saw; I applied my heart; I saw and learned a lesson.
33 Little sleep, little slumber, little clasping of the hands to lie down.
34 Then your poverty will come strolling and your wants like an armed man.

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
