Serve Hashem.

Chapter 118

Psalms On Righteousness Based On G-d’s Word Not Man’s

David as a lowly shepherd emerged as a king.

G-d’s right hand is not Jesus. Neither on His right hand.

His kindness endures forever.

“Expressing Gratitude And Confidence To G-d”

Give thanks to Hashem for He is good; for His kindness endures forever!
118:1
Let Israel say now, “For His kindness endures forever!”
:2
Hashem is with me, I have no fear; how can man affect me?

It is better to take refuge in Hashem than to rely on man.
:8
It is better to take refuge in Hashem than to rely on nobles.
:9
You pushed me hard that I might fall, but Hashem assisted me.
:13
God is my might and my praise, and He was a salvation for me.
:14
Hashem’s right hand is raised triumphantly; Hashem’s right hand does valiantly!”
:16
I shall not die! But I shall live and relate the deeds of God.
:17
This is the gate of Hashem; the righteous shall enter through it.

The stone the builders despised has become the cornerstone.
:22
This is the day Hashem has made; let us rejoice and be glad on it.
:24
Please, Hashem, save now! Please, Hashem, bring success now!

Hashem is God. He illuminated for us; bind the festival offering with cords until the corners of the Altar.

You are my God, and I will thank You; my God, I will exalt You.

Give thanks to Hashem, for He is good; for His kindness endures forever.

1 Give thanks to the Lord because He is good, for His kindness is eternal.
2 Israel shall now say, “For His kindness is eternal.”
3 The house of Aaron shall now say, “For His kindness is eternal.”
4 Those who fear the Lord shall now say, “For His kindness is eternal.”
5 From the straits I called God; God answered me with a vast expanse.
6 The Lord is for me; I shall not fear. What can man do to me?
7 The Lord is for me with my helpers, and I shall see [revenge] in my enemies.
8 It is better to take shelter in the Lord than to trust in man.
9 It is better to take shelter in the Lord than to trust in princes.
10 All nations surrounded me; in the name of the Lord that I shall cut them off.
11 They encircled me, yea they surrounded me; in the name of the Lord that I shall cut them off.
12 They encircled me like bees; they were extinguished like a thorn fire; in the name of the Lord that I shall cut them off.
13 You pushed me to fall, but the Lord helped me.
14 The might and the cutting power of God was my salvation.
15 A voice of singing praises and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the Lord deals valiantly.
16 The right hand of the Lord is exalted; the right hand of the Lord deals valiantly.
17 I shall not die but I shall live and tell the deeds of God.
18 God has chastised me, but He has not delivered me to death.
19 Open for me the gates of righteousness; I shall enter them and thank God.
20 This is the Lord’s gate; the righteous will enter therein.
21 I shall thank You because You answered me, and You were my salvation.
22 The stone that the builders rejected became a cornerstone.
23 This was from the Lord; it is wondrous in our eyes.
24 This is the day that the Lord made; we shall exult and rejoice thereon.
25 Please, O Lord, save now! Please, O Lord, make prosperous now!
26 Blessed be he who has come in the name of the Lord; we have blessed you in the name of the Lord.
27 The Lord is God, and He gave us light. Bind the sacrifice with ropes until [it is brought to] the corners of the altar.
28 You are my God and I shall thank You; the God of my father, and I shall exalt You.
29 Give thanks to the Lord because He is good, for His kindness is eternal.

The book of Tehillim (Psalms) with 150 prayers and hymns were composed by various authors, mainly King David, in ancient Israel. It has become one of the most cherished books in the Jewish bible. For generations, the Tehillim has been a source of inspiration and comfort to many.The Book of Joshua, in the Hebrew-Jewish Bible, narrates the entry of the Children of Israel into the Promised Land of Canaan and their conquest and partition of the land under the leadership of Joshua, as Moses’ successor. It details the Israelites’ miraculous crossing of the Jordan River, the fall of Jericho, the battles of Ai and Gibeon, and the division of the land among the twelve tribes. Joshua resonates with Moses, in which he exhorts the Israelites to remain faithful to G-d and His commandments.

The Book of Mishlei (Proverbs) in the Hebrew Bible. The book begins with a call to seek wisdom and understanding, and it describes the benefits that come from doing so, such as knowledge and discernment.Judges chronicles the history of the Israelites during the period between the conquest of the Land of Israel and the establishment of the monarchy.
