G-d and His Words are not pieces of cake for special occasions only.

Or a fire extinguisher in case of emergency.

You cannot live your life how you want it; contrary to His Commands. Then, last minute you pledge devotion to Him.

Repentance, yes. But G-d knows your actions, reactions and intentions.

May Hashem answer you on the day of distress; may the Name of Jacob’s God make you impregnable.

May He grant you your heart’s [desire], and fulfill your every plan.

… may Hashem fulfill all your requests.

Some with chariots, and some with horses; but we, in the Name of Hashem, our God, call out.

They slumped and fell, but we arose and were invigorated.

Hashem save! May the King answer us on the day we call.

1 For the conductor, a song of David.
2 May the Lord answer you on a day of distress; may the name of the God of Jacob fortify you.
3 May He send your aid from His sanctuary, and may He support you from Zion.
4 May He remember all your meal offerings and may He accept your fat burnt offerings forever.
5 May He give you as your heart [desires], and may He fulfill all your counsel.
6 Let us sing praises for your salvation, and let us assemble in the name of our God; may the Lord fulfill all your requests.
7 Now I know that the Lord saved His anointed; He answered him from His holy heavens; with the mighty acts of salvation from His right hand.
8 These trust in chariots and these in horses, but we-we mention the name of the Lord our God.
9 They kneel and fall, but we rise and gain strength.
10 O Lord, save [us]; may the King answer us on the day we call.

The book of Tehillim (Psalms) with 150 prayers and hymns were composed by various authors, mainly King David, in ancient Israel. It has become one of the most cherished books in the Jewish bible. For generations, the Tehillim has been a source of inspiration and comfort to many.The Book of Joshua, in the Hebrew-Jewish Bible, narrates the entry of the Children of Israel into the Promised Land of Canaan and their conquest and partition of the land under the leadership of Joshua, as Moses’ successor. It details the Israelites’ miraculous crossing of the Jordan River, the fall of Jericho, the battles of Ai and Gibeon, and the division of the land among the twelve tribes. Joshua resonates with Moses, in which he exhorts the Israelites to remain faithful to G-d and His commandments.

The Book of Mishlei (Proverbs) in the Hebrew Bible. The book begins with a call to seek wisdom and understanding, and it describes the benefits that come from doing so, such as knowledge and discernment.Judges chronicles the history of the Israelites during the period between the conquest of the Land of Israel and the establishment of the monarchy. It contains accounts of the heroic deeds of various judges who led and rescued the Israelites from their enemies. The book also provides valuable insights into the spiritual and moral challenges faced by the Israelites during that time. The cycle of sin is clearly seen in the book of Judges (Shoftim in Hebrew).
