Chapter 34

Psalms Chapter 34 the Righteous, the Brokenhearted Take Refuge in Hashem

Psalms On Finding Favor In Hashem

Not believing. But doing what is spoken by G-d through His servants the prophets.

The proud is never pleasing in G-d’s sight.

Do good according to His righteousness; not your own justification of your wrong or wicked action.

Being Dedicated To G-d”

I shall bless Hashem at all times, always shall His praise be in my mouth.
34:2
I sought out Hashem and He answered me, and from all my terrors He delivered me.
:5
Those who looked to Him became radiant, and their faces will not be shamed.
:6
This poor man calls and Hashem hears, and from all his troubles He saves him.
:7
Contemplate and see that Hashem is good; praiseworthy is the man who takes refuge in Him.
:9
Fear Hashem, O [you] His holy ones, for there is no deprivation for His reverent ones.
:10
Guard your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.
:14
Turn from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.
:15
The eyes of Hashem are toward the righteous, and His ears to their cry.
:16
The face of Hashem is against evildoers, to cut off their memory from earth.
:17
Hashem is close to the brokenhearted; and those who are crushed in spirit, He saves.
:19
Many are the mishaps of the righteous. but from them all Hashem rescues him.
:20
… and the haters of the righteous will be condemned.
:22
Hashem redeems the soul of His servants, and all those who take refuge in Him will not be condemned.
:23

1 Of David, when he disguised his sanity before Abimelech, whereupon he drove him out and he departed.
2 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise is always in my mouth.
3 My soul boasts of the Lord; may the humble hear and rejoice.
4 Declare the greatness of the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.
5 I sought the Lord and He answered me, and He delivered me from all my terrors.
6 They looked to Him and they became radiant, and their faces will not be ashamed.
7 This poor man called and the Lord heard, and He saved him from all his troubles.
8 An angel of the Lord is stationed around those who fear Him, and He saved them.
9 Comprehend and see that the Lord is good; praiseworthy is the man who takes shelter in Him.
10 Fear the Lord, His holy ones; for there is no want to those who fear Him.
11 Young lions suffer want and are hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good.
12 Come, children, hearken to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
13 Who is the man who desires life, who loves days to see goodness?
14 Guard your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceitfully.
15 Shun evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.
16 The eyes of the Lord are to the righteous, and His ears are to their cry.
17 The face of the Lord is against evildoers, to cut off their remembrance from the earth.
18 They cry out and the Lord hearkens, and He saves them from all their troubles.
19 The Lord is near to the broken-hearted, and He saves those of crushed spirit.
20 Many evils befall the righteous, but the Lord saves him from them all.
21 He guards all his bones; not one of them was broken.
22 Evil will kill the wicked, and those who hate the righteous shall be accounted guilty.
23 The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and all who take refuge in Him shall not be accounted guilty.

The book of Tehillim (Psalms) with 150 prayers and hymns were composed by various authors, mainly King David, in ancient Israel. It has become one of the most cherished books in the Jewish bible. For generations, the Tehillim has been a source of inspiration and comfort to many.The Book of Joshua, in the Hebrew-Jewish Bible, narrates the entry of the Children of Israel into the Promised Land of Canaan and their conquest and partition of the land under the leadership of Joshua, as Moses’ successor. It details the Israelites’ miraculous crossing of the Jordan River, the fall of Jericho, the battles of Ai and Gibeon, and the division of the land among the twelve tribes. Joshua resonates with Moses, in which he exhorts the Israelites to remain faithful to G-d and His commandments.

The Book of Mishlei (Proverbs) in the Hebrew Bible. The book begins with a call to seek wisdom and understanding, and it describes the benefits that come from doing so, such as knowledge and discernment.Judges chronicles the history of the Israelites during the period between the conquest of the Land of Israel and the establishment of the monarchy.
