THE PROPHETS
ZECHARIAH
ZECHARIAH
Do not think in your heart of wronging others.
Chapter 2
Zechariah Proves that the Jews are Righteous and are Blessed for Rejecting Jesus
Zechariah On Prophecies About The Enemy Of Israel And His Promise Of Protection
G-d’s promise remains and will prevail.
Nations will join to become His.
“G-d’s Promise To His People”
“The Nations”
Then I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold four horns.
2:1
I said to the angel who was speaking to me, “What are these?” And he said to me, “These are the horns that dispersed Judah, Israel and Jerusalem.”
2:2
And I will be for it — the word of Hashem — a wall of fire all around and for glory will I be in its midst.
:9
Woe! Woe! Flee from the land of the north — the word of Hashem — for I have scattered you like the four directions of the heavens — the word of Hashem.
:10
For thus said Hashem, Master of Legions, after glory, He will send me to the nations who despoil you, for whoever touches you touches the pupil of his own eye.
:12
Sing and be glad, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst — the word of Hashem.
:14
Many nations will join themselves to Hashem on that day, and they will become a people unto Me; and I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that Hashem, Master of Legions, has sent me to you.
:15
Hashem will take Judah as His heritage, His portion upon the Holy Land, and He will choose Jerusalem again,
:16
Be silent, all flesh, before Hashem, for He is aroused from His holy abode!”
:17
1 And I lifted my eyes, and I saw-and behold!-four horns.
2 And I said to the angel who was speaking to me, “What are these?” And he said to me, “These are the horns that scattered Judah and Israel and Jerusalem.”
3 And the Lord showed me four craftsmen.
4 And I said, “What are these coming to do?” And he said, saying, “These are the horns that scattered Judah to the extent that no man raised his head. And these came to cause them to quake, to cast away the horns of the nations that bear a horn against the land of Judah, to scatter it.”
5 And I lifted my eyes, and I saw-and behold!-a man with a measuring line in his hand.
6 And I said, “Where are you going?” And he said to me, “To measure Jerusalem, to see how much is its breadth and how much [is] its length.”
7 And behold, the angel who was speaking with me was coming forth, and another angel was coming forth toward him.
8 And he said to him, “Run, speak to this young man, saying: ‘Jerusalem shall be inhabited like unwalled towns, because of the multitude of men and cattle therein.’ “
9 But I will be for it-says the Lord-a wall of fire around, and for glory I will be in its midst.
10 Ho, ho! Flee from the land of the north, says the Lord; for I have spread you as the four corners of the heavens, says the Lord.
11 Ho, Zion! Flee, she who sits among the nation of Babylon.
12 For so said the Lord of Hosts: After glory, He sent me to the nations that plunder you, for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye.
13 For, behold! I raise My hand over them, and they shall be prey for those who serve them. And you shall know that the Lord of Hosts sent me.
14 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for, behold! I will come and dwell in your midst, says the Lord.
15 And many nations shall join the Lord on that day, and they shall be My people; and I will dwell in your midst and you shall know that the Lord of Hosts sent me to you.
16 And the Lord shall inherit Judah as His share on the Holy Land, and He shall again choose Jerusalem.
17 Silence all flesh from before the Lord, for He is aroused out of His holy habitation.
Hashem as One.
