Chronicles On The Building Of The Temple

David’s Gratitude

Mainly, the false doctrine or teaching of Trinity, Triune or 3-in-1 G-d (Jesus & co.)

Read verse 20 plainly.

“The Temple, David, Solomon And Israel”

It happened after David was settled into his home that David said to Nathan the prophet, “Behold, I am living in a house of cedar while the Ark of the Covenant of Hashem dwells under curtains!”
17:1
Nathan said to David, “Do what is in your heart, for God is with you.”
:2
… Thus said Hashem: [It is] not you who will build a house for Me to dwell in.
:4
… So says Hashem, Master of Legions: I have taken you from the sheepfold, from following the flocks, to become ruler over My people, over Israel.
:7
… And I declare to you that Hashem will establish a dynasty for you.
:10
He shall build a Temple for Me, and I shall make his throne firm forever.
:12
I shall be a Father unto him and he shall be a son unto Me, and I shall never remove My kindness from him, as I removed it from the one who preceded you.
:13
I will establish him as My dynasty and as My kingdom forever, and his throne will be established forever.”
:14
… “Who am I, O Hashem, God, and who is my household, that You should have brought me this far?
:16
… and You have considered Me as befits a man of exalted stature, O Hashem, God.
:17
O Hashem, it is because of Your servant, and according to Your desire, that You have bestowed all this greatness, to make known all these great things.
:19
Hashem, there is none like You and there is no god besides You, like all that we have heard with our ears.
:20
And who is like Your people Israel, a unique nation on earth, whom God went forth to redeem unto Himself for a people —
:21
You have made Your people Israel a people unto Yourself forever, and You, Hashem, have been a God for them.
:22
And Your Name will thereby be recognized as true and glorified forever, …
:24
And now, You have consented to bless the house of Your servant, that it may remain forever before You. For You, O Hashem, have blessed; may it be blessed forever.”
:27

1 Now it came to pass when David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, “Behold, I dwell in a house of the cedars, but the Ark of God dwells under curtains.”
2 And Nathan said to David, “All that is in your heart do, for the Lord is with you.”
3 And it came to pass on that same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
4 “Go and say to David, My servant: So said the Lord, ‘You shall not build me the house [in which] to dwell.
5 For I have not dwelt in a house from the day that I brought up Israel, to this day, but I have [gone] from tent to tent and from tabernacle [to another].
6 Wherever I walked among all Israel, I spoke a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying: Why have you not built for Me a house of cedar?
7 And now, so shall you say to My servant, to David: So said the Lord of Hosts; I took you from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be a leader over My people, Israel.
8 And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you, and I made you a name, like the name of the great ones that are in the earth.
9 And I shall appoint a place for My people Israel, and I shall plant them, and they will dwell in their own place and be disturbed no more, and wicked people will no longer afflict them as formerly.
10 And even from the days that I commanded judges over My people Israel; and I vanquished all your enemies. Moreover I tell you that the Lord will build you a house.
11 And it will come to pass when your days are finished to go with your forefathers, then I shall raise up your seed after you, who will be of your sons, and I shall establish his kingdom.
12 He will build Me a house, and I shall establish his throne forever.
13 I shall be to him as a father, and he will be to Me as a son, and I shall not remove My loving-kindness from him as I removed [it] from he who was before you.
14 And I shall station him in My house and in My kingdom forever, and his throne shall be established forever.”
15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak to David.
16 And King David came and sat before the Lord, and he said, “Who am I, O Lord God, and who is my house, that You have brought me thus far?
17 As though this was yet too small a thing in Your eyes, O God, but You also spoke of Your servant from afar, and You have regarded me in the manner of a man of high degree, O Lord God.
18 What more need David [seek] You, to have glory as Your servant? For You know Your servant.
19 O Lord, for the sake of Your servant, and according to Your heart, You have brought about all this greatness, to make Your servant know all the great things.
20 O Lord, there is none like You, and there is no god besides You according to all that we have heard with our ears.
21 And who is like Your people Israel, one nation in the world, whom God went to redeem for Himself [as] a people, to make You a name of great and fearful things, to drive nations from before Your people, whom You redeemed from Egypt.
22 And You made Your people Israel [to be] to You as a people forever, and You, O Lord, became their God.
23 And now, O Lord, the word that You have spoken concerning Your servant and concerning his house shall be realized forever, and do as You have spoken.
24 And may Your name be confirmed and magnified forever, saying: The Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, is God to Israel, and the house of David Your servant shall be established before You.
25 For You, my God have revealed to Your servant’s ear, to build him a house; therefore, Your servant has found [occasion] to pray before You.
26 And now, O Lord, You are God, and You have spoken concerning Your servant this good thing.
27 And now, You have commenced to bless Your servant’s house to be before You forever, for You, O Lord, have blessed, and [he shall be] blessed forever.”

Ruth is one of the greatest converts who ever lived.
Though not a lengthy book, Ruth is filled with significant story in the Hebrew Bible that tell the tale of a foreign woman, who later becomes an ancestor of King David.
Lamentations is a collection of five powerful reflections mourning the destruction of the first Temple and the exile of the Jewish people from Jerusalem.

The book is attributed to the prophet Jeremiah, who have written it in vivid, anguished language to express his own grief as well as that of the Jewish community as a whole.

The Book of Chronicles was composed by Ezra, and the Sages of the Talmud (Oral law) canonized it as part of Scripture. By definition, therefore, it was composed under the guidance of the Divine Spirit.

The book that recounts the history of the Israelites from the time of Adam to the end of the Babylonian exile — this is the Book of Chronicles. Daily Holy Bible Reading lays the period from Adam to the death of King David, and the period from the death of King David to the end of the Babylonian exile in the two (2) parts of the Book of Chronicles (Divrei Hayamim).

The Book of Chronicles is an important source of information about the history of the Jewish people. It provides details about the kings of Israel and Judah, the Temple in Jerusalem, and the religious practices of the Jewish people. The book also contains a number of important theological teachings, such as the importance of following God’s commandments and the promise of God’s redemption.

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
