Chronicles On The Singers

It is clear that praising G-d by singing is a delight in His ears.

But, it has to be in a genuine way, and must be evident in your words, action and way of life most importantly.

“The Singers”

David and the officers of the service corps set aside the sons of Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun who prophesied while using harps, lyres, and cymbals. Their number of workmen required for their service, was:
25:1
… giving thanks and praise to Hashem.
25:3
All these were under the auspices of their father for song in the Temple of Hashem, with cymbals, lyres, and harps for the service of the Temple of God, …
:6
… trained in the singing of songs for Hashem, all of them with skill, …
:7
He, his brothers and sons were twelve.
:9

1 Then David and the generals of the army separated for the service of the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, who prophesied with harps, with lyres, and with cymbals, and the number of those men expert in their work, according to their service, was:
2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph through Asaph, who prophesied according to the direction of the king.
3 Of Jeduthun the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Isaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah-six, beside their father Jeduthun with the harp, who prophesied with [songs of] thanksgiving and praise to the Lord.
4 Of Heman: the sons of Heman; Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.
5 All these were sons of Heman, the king’s seer, in words of God to raise the horn, and God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6 All these were alongside their father in song in the House of the Lord, with cymbals, psalteries and harps, for the service of the House of God, alongside the king, Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.
7 And their number with their brethren, trained in song to the Lord; every expert-two hundred eighty-eight.
8 And they cast lots, a watch against [a watch], like the small one so the great one, scholar with pupil.
9 And the first lot of Asaph came out to Joseph, Gedaliah the second; he and his brethren and his sons, twelve.
10 The third: Zaccur; his sons and his brethren, twelve.

Ruth is one of the greatest converts who ever lived.
Though not a lengthy book, Ruth is filled with significant story in the Hebrew Bible that tell the tale of a foreign woman, who later becomes an ancestor of King David.
Lamentations is a collection of five powerful reflections mourning the destruction of the first Temple and the exile of the Jewish people from Jerusalem.

The book is attributed to the prophet Jeremiah, who have written it in vivid, anguished language to express his own grief as well as that of the Jewish community as a whole.

The Book of Chronicles was composed by Ezra, and the Sages of the Talmud (Oral law) canonized it as part of Scripture. By definition, therefore, it was composed under the guidance of the Divine Spirit.

The book that recounts the history of the Israelites from the time of Adam to the end of the Babylonian exile — this is the Book of Chronicles. Daily Holy Bible Reading lays the period from Adam to the death of King David, and the period from the death of King David to the end of the Babylonian exile in the two (2) parts of the Book of Chronicles (Divrei Hayamim).

The Book of Chronicles is an important source of information about the history of the Jewish people. It provides details about the kings of Israel and Judah, the Temple in Jerusalem, and the religious practices of the Jewish people. The book also contains a number of important theological teachings, such as the importance of following God’s commandments and the promise of God’s redemption.

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
