Serve Hashem.
Chapter 149
Psalms Chapter 149 (Second to the last chapter)
Psalms’ Emphasis On The Devout Ones
No question, G-d will favor the righteous.
Those who take into account the real purpose of life as it is written in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament), they are those whom G-d delight.
Wealth, fame and success are not at all man’s purpose in life.
The sum of the matter when all has been considered: Fear God and keep His commandments, for that is man’s whole duty.
Kohelet (Ecclesiastes) 12:13
“The Glory Of The Righteous”
Halleluyah! Sing to Hashem a new song; His praise is in the congregation of the devout.
149:1
Let Israel exult in its Maker; let the Children of Zion rejoice in their King.
149:2
Let them praise His Name with dancing; with drums and harp let them make music to Him.
149:3
For Hashem favors His people; He adorns the humble with salvation.
:4
Let the devout exult in glory, let them sing joyously upon their beds.
:5
to execute upon them written judgment — that will be the splendor of all His devout ones. Halleluyah!
:9
1 Hallelujah! Sing to the Lord a new song; His praise is in the congregation of the pious.
2 Israel will rejoice with its Maker; the children of Zion will exult with their King.
3 They will praise His name in dance; with timbrel and harp they will play music to Him.
4 For the Lord takes delight in His people; He lauds the humble with salvation.
5 The pious will exult in glory; they will sing praises on their beds.
6 Lofty praises of God in their throats and a double-edged sword in their hands,
7 To wreak vengeance upon the nations, contentions upon the kingdoms.
8 To bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron.
9 To execute upon them a written judgment; that will be splendor to all His pious ones. Hallelujah!
Fulfill G-d's Will.
