Chronicles On The Final Chapter Of The Genealogy

The roles, tasks, duties and responsibilities of G-d’s people.

David and Samuel are mentioned having established the positions that are carried over in their return from exile.

“The Returning Exiles”

All of Israel registered their genealogies. They are recorded in the Book of the Kings of Israel. Judah was exiled to Babylonia for their treachery.
9:1
The first inhabitants to settle in [the lands of] their possession, in their cities, were the Israelites, the Kohanim, the Levites and the Nethinim.
:2
Shallum son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah, and his kinsmen of his father’s family, the Korahites, were in charge of the work of the service, guarding the doorways of the Tent of Meeting]; as their fathers had been in charge of the camp of Hashem, as guards of the entryway.
:19
Phinehas son of Elazar had been the supervisor over them in former times, for Hashem was with him.
:20
Zechariah was gatekeeper of the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.
:21
They were the ones whom David and Samuel the Seer established in their permanent positions.
:22
They slept in the environs of the Temple of God, for they were responsible to guard it, and they were in charge of opening the doors every morning.
:27
Others of their kinsmen of the sons of the Kohathites were in charge of the bread of array, to prepare it every Sabbath.
:32
Ner begot Kish, Kish begot Saul. Saul begot Jonathan, Malchi-shua, Abinadab and Eshbaal.
:39

Ruth is one of the greatest converts who ever lived.
Though not a lengthy book, Ruth is filled with significant story in the Hebrew Bible that tell the tale of a foreign woman, who later becomes an ancestor of King David.
Lamentations is a collection of five powerful reflections mourning the destruction of the first Temple and the exile of the Jewish people from Jerusalem.

The book is attributed to the prophet Jeremiah, who have written it in vivid, anguished language to express his own grief as well as that of the Jewish community as a whole.

The Book of Chronicles was composed by Ezra, and the Sages of the Talmud (Oral law) canonized it as part of Scripture. By definition, therefore, it was composed under the guidance of the Divine Spirit.

The book that recounts the history of the Israelites from the time of Adam to the end of the Babylonian exile — this is the Book of Chronicles. Daily Holy Bible Reading lays the period from Adam to the death of King David, and the period from the death of King David to the end of the Babylonian exile in the two (2) parts of the Book of Chronicles (Divrei Hayamim).

The Book of Chronicles is an important source of information about the history of the Jewish people. It provides details about the kings of Israel and Judah, the Temple in Jerusalem, and the religious practices of the Jewish people. The book also contains a number of important theological teachings, such as the importance of following God’s commandments and the promise of God’s redemption.

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
