Psalms Chapter 63 at Times of Difficulty and Distress

When there is nobody, nowhere and nothing to run after that is the only time one comes and calls out to G-d.

Natural calamity and disaster are very good examples.

Until the situation improves, and is back to normal — no one seeks out G-d to learn and know His truth.

Showing-off does not count.

“Love For G-d Against All Odds”

O God: You are my God, I seek You. My soul thirsts for You, my flesh longs for You; in a parched and thirsty land with no water.
63:2
For Your kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You.
:4
Thus shall I bless You all my life; in Your Name I shall lift my hands.
:5
For You have been a help for me; in the shelter of your wings I joyously sing.
:8
The king shall rejoice in God; glorified will be everyone who swears by Him, when the mouth of the liars will be stopped.

1 A song of David when he was in the desert of Judah.
2 O God, You are my God, I seek You. My soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You, in an arid and thirsty land, without water.
3 As I saw You in the Sanctuary, [so do I long] to see Your strength and Your glory.
4 For Your kindness is better than life; my lips will praise You.
5 Then I shall bless You in my lifetime; in Your name I shall lift my hands.
6 [As] with choice foods and fat, my soul will be sated, when my mouth praises with expressions of song.
7 When I remember You on my couch; in the watches I meditate about You.
8 For You were my help, and in the shadow of Your wings I shall praise.
9 My soul has clung after You; Your right hand has supported me.
10 But they seek my soul to make it desolate; may they come into the depths of the earth.
11 May he be dragged by the sword; they will be the portion of foxes.
12 And may the king rejoice with God; may all who swear by Him boast, for the mouth of those who speak lies will be closed.

The book of Tehillim (Psalms) with 150 prayers and hymns were composed by various authors, mainly King David, in ancient Israel. It has become one of the most cherished books in the Jewish bible. For generations, the Tehillim has been a source of inspiration and comfort to many.The Book of Joshua, in the Hebrew-Jewish Bible, narrates the entry of the Children of Israel into the Promised Land of Canaan and their conquest and partition of the land under the leadership of Joshua, as Moses’ successor. It details the Israelites’ miraculous crossing of the Jordan River, the fall of Jericho, the battles of Ai and Gibeon, and the division of the land among the twelve tribes. Joshua resonates with Moses, in which he exhorts the Israelites to remain faithful to G-d and His commandments.

The Book of Mishlei (Proverbs) in the Hebrew Bible. The book begins with a call to seek wisdom and understanding, and it describes the benefits that come from doing so, such as knowledge and discernment.Judges chronicles the history of the Israelites during the period between the conquest of the Land of Israel and the establishment of the monarchy. It contains accounts of the heroic deeds of various judges who led and rescued the Israelites from their enemies. The book also provides valuable insights into the spiritual and moral challenges faced by the Israelites during that time. The cycle of sin is clearly seen in the book of Judges (Shoftim in Hebrew).

The book raises significant questions about God’s justice and the nature of suffering, as Job grapples with his misfortunes and argues with his friends over the reasons for his situation.
Also known as the Song of Songs or Song Of Solomon, and it is included in the Ketuvim section of the Tanakh. It is a poetic book in the Hebrew Bible using romantic and sensual language that tells the story of a love affair between a man and a woman, often interpreted metaphorically as an allegory for the relationship between G-d and Israel.
Ruth is one of the greatest converts who ever lived.
Though not a lengthy book, Ruth is filled with significant story in the Hebrew Bible that tell the tale of a foreign woman, who later becomes an ancestor of King David.
Lamentations is a collection of five powerful reflections mourning the destruction of the first Temple and the exile of the Jewish people from Jerusalem.
The book is attributed to the prophet Jeremiah, who have written it in vivid, anguished language to express his own grief as well as that of the Jewish community as a whole.
Ecclesiastes is Koheles in Hebrew, may be questionable in its context first hand. But, its essence is undoubtedly critical to the whole of the Holy Bible. Ezra teaches the Torah and to enforce its laws. Focusing on erradicating intermarriage with non-Jewish women. Correcting their mistakes is ultimately achieved by sending away their wives in taking oaths.
Nehemiah, a cupbearer to the Persian king Artaxerxes. Nehemiah made a request to the king to return to his ancestral land and perform his duties as a leader by rebuilding the city walls which was reportedly damaged.
The book that recounts the history of the Israelites from the time of Adam to the end of the Babylonian exile — this is the Book of Chronicles.
