Chronicles On The Arrival Of The Ark Of The Covenant

“In accordance with the word of Hashem”

King David realized that his actions must be in accordance with the word of Hashem.

Thus, he finds favor in the eyes of Hashem.

Clearly, it is a must to check and find out that in all things your intentions, actions and reactions are in conformity with G-d’s commands; not otherwise.

“The Ark Of The Covenant Of Hashem”

He built houses for himself in the City of David. He also prepared a place for the Ark of God, pitching a tent for it.
15:1
At that time David gave the command that no one but the Levites was to carry the Ark of God, for it was them whom Hashem had chosen to carry the Ark of God and to minister before Him forever.
:2
For the first time, it was not you; Hashem our God dealt harshly with us, for we did not seek Him out as was proper.”
:13
The sons of the Levites carried the Ark of God, as Moses had commanded in accordance with the word of Hashem — on their shoulders, by staffs upon them.
:15
David instructed the officers of the Levites to set up their kinsmen who made music with musical instruments — lyres, harps and cymbals — making themselves heard, to raise their voice in joy.
:16
David and the elders of Israel and the officers of thousands who went to bring up the Ark of the Covenant of Hashem from Obed-edom’s house were exuberant.
:25
… they offered as sacrifices seven bulls and seven rams.
:26
All of Israel brought up the Ark of the Covenant of Hashem with joyous shouts and the sound of the shofar, with trumpets and cymbals sounding among the lyres and harps.
:28
It happened as the Ark of Hashem arrived at the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul peered out the window and saw King David dancing and cavorting before Hashem, and she became contemptuous of him in her heart.
:29

1 And [David] made himself houses in the City of David, and he prepared a place for the Ark of God, and he pitched a tent for it.
2 Then David said, “It is not proper to carry the Ark of God except the Levites, for the Lord chose them to carry the Ark of God and to serve Him forever.”
3 And David congregated all Israel to Jerusalem, to bring up the Ark of the Lord to its place, which he had prepared for it.
4 And David gathered the sons of Aaron and the Levites.
5 Of the sons of Kehath: Uriel the leader, and his brethren a hundred and twenty.
6 Of the sons of Merari: Asaiah the leader, and his brethren two hundred and twenty.
7 Of the sons of Gershom: Joel the leader, and his brethren a hundred and thirty.
8 Of the sons of Elizaphan: Shemaiah the leader, and his brethren two hundred.
9 Of the sons of Hebron: Eliel the leader, and his brethren eighty.
10 Of the sons of Uzziel: Amminadab the leader, and his brethren a hundred and twelve.
11 And David summoned Zadok and Ebiathar the priests, and of the Levites, Uriel, Asaiah and Joel, Shemaiah and Eliel and Amminadab.
12 And he said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ [houses] of the Levites; prepare yourselves and your brethren, and you shall bring up the Ark of the Lord God of Israel to [the place] I have prepared for it.
13 For from the beginning, [when] you were not [the bearers], the Lord, our God, made a breach in us, for we did not seek Him according to the ordinance.”
14 And the priests and the Levites prepared themselves to bring up the Ark of the Lord God of Israel.
15 And the sons of the Levites carried the Ark of God as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord, on their shoulders, with staves upon them.
16 And David said to the leaders of the Levites to station their brethren, the singers, with musical instruments, psalteries and harps and cymbals, resounding to raise a voice in joy.
17 And the Levites stationed Heman the son of Joel and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah, and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah.
18 And with them, their brethren the second in rank; Zechariah Ben and Jaaziel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Unni and Eliab and Benaiah and Maaseiah and Mattithiah and Eliphelehu and Mikneiah and Obed-Edom and Jeiel the door sentries.
19 And the singers: Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, with copper cymbals to resound.
20 And Zechariah and Aziel and Shemiramoth and Jeiel and Unni and Eliab and Maaseiah and Benaiah with psalteries over alamoth.
21 And Mattithiah and Eliphelehu and Mikneiah and Obed-Edom and Jeiel and Azaziah, with harps on the sheminith, to conduct.
22 And Chenaniah, the leader of the Levites in song; he would chastise in song because he was an expert.
23 And Berechiah and Elkanah were gate sentries for the Ark.
24 And Shebaniah and Joshaphat and Nethanel and Amasai and Zechariah and Benaiah and Eliezer, the priests, sounding the trumpets before the Ark of God, and Obed-Edom and Jehiah were gate sentries for the Ark.
25 And David and the elders of Israel and the leaders of the thousands who went to bring up the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord from the House of Obed-Edom were rejoicing.
26 And it came to pass when God helped the Levites, the bearers of the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord, that they slaughtered seven bulls and seven rams.
27 And David was enwrapped in a linen robe, and all the Levites who were carrying the Ark, and the singers and Chenaniah the leader of the singers in the song, and on David was a linen ephod.
28 And all Israel were bringing up the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord, with the sounds and blasts of the shofar and with trumpets and with cymbals, resounding with psalteries and harps.
29 And the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord came up to the City of David, and Michal the daughter of Saul peered through the window, and she saw King David dancing and playing, and she scorned him in her heart.

Ruth is one of the greatest converts who ever lived.
Though not a lengthy book, Ruth is filled with significant story in the Hebrew Bible that tell the tale of a foreign woman, who later becomes an ancestor of King David.
Lamentations is a collection of five powerful reflections mourning the destruction of the first Temple and the exile of the Jewish people from Jerusalem.

The book is attributed to the prophet Jeremiah, who have written it in vivid, anguished language to express his own grief as well as that of the Jewish community as a whole.

The Book of Chronicles was composed by Ezra, and the Sages of the Talmud (Oral law) canonized it as part of Scripture. By definition, therefore, it was composed under the guidance of the Divine Spirit.

The book that recounts the history of the Israelites from the time of Adam to the end of the Babylonian exile — this is the Book of Chronicles. Daily Holy Bible Reading lays the period from Adam to the death of King David, and the period from the death of King David to the end of the Babylonian exile in the two (2) parts of the Book of Chronicles (Divrei Hayamim).

The Book of Chronicles is an important source of information about the history of the Jewish people. It provides details about the kings of Israel and Judah, the Temple in Jerusalem, and the religious practices of the Jewish people. The book also contains a number of important theological teachings, such as the importance of following God’s commandments and the promise of God’s redemption.

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
